Help with Duke Nukem 3D sound?

I have tried changing the sound card in the setup menu, but mine is not listed, as my computer is brand new and I don't even think my sound card existed when the game came out. The only one that gives me any sound is the Sound Blaster, but it's choppy and interrupted. Is there anytihng I can do?
