It may not have seemed like a 'big deal' at the time to try and cheer your son up , but it most definitely is . like this can cause severe trauma ( emotionally speaking ) , it is against the law and abuse. Your focus should be on protecting your son , because he does in fact need protection from his mother . Social services should be involved in this. By doing right by your son you should continue to divorce only speaking to your wife when absolutely necessary and attempt to handle it in a dignified way.
